MISSION AND HISTORY
Mission Statement:
Cryptids and Paranormal Productions is dedicated to bringing the unexplained out of the
shadows and into the community. Its mission is to create welcoming, immersive spaces where
believers, skeptics, and the simply curious can explore Bigfoot and other Cryptids, UFOs, ghosts,
horror, psychic phenomena, and all things strange and mysterious. Through live events,
investigations, and a strong network of affiliates, Cryptids and Paranormal Productions aims to
educate, entertain, and connect people who feel the pull of the unknown—always with respect,
open-minded inquiry, and a sense of fun.
History:
Cryptids and Paranormal Productions was founded in New Jersey with a simple idea: the
stories, sightings, and experiences people were whispering about deserved a bigger stage. In
2023, the company launched its First Annual Cryptids and Paranormal Conference in New
Jersey, bringing together TV personalities, authors, researchers, and creators from across the
paranormal world. The event quickly grew into a major gathering for fans of cryptozoology,
UFOs, hauntings, horror, and psychic phenomena.
Each year since, the conference has expanded—more vendors, more talks, more
demonstrations, and an ever-growing lineup of special guests covering subjects from Bigfoot
field research and UFO disclosure to ghost hunting, demonology, and psychic mediumship. It
has become a place where attendees can sit in on serious research presentations, meet their
favorite TV investigators, shop unique merch, and swap stories late into the night.
Beyond the conference, Cryptids and Paranormal Productions now runs Cryptid Expeditions and
Paranormal Investigations throughout the year. These outings give participants the chance to
join seasoned researchers in the field—whether that means trekking through wooded areas in
search of Cryptid activity or investigating reportedly haunted locations with professional-grade
equipment.
Over time, the business has built a large network of affiliates: investigators, content creators,
shop owners, podcast hosts, local paranormal teams, and other partners who collaborate on
events, investigations, and online content. Together, they form a community that keeps
curiosity alive year-round, turning Cryptids and Paranormal Productions into more than just an
events company—it’s a hub for everyone who feels at home on the edge of the unknown.
EVENT TEAM
Founder - Mike O'Connor
Michael O’Connor is the owner and founder of Cryptids and Paranormal Productions and the co-organizer for New Jersey's Annual Cryptids and Paranormal Conference. He has been a cryptid and paranormal enthusiast since 2005.
Michael has participated in dozens of independent and BFRO (Bigfoot Field Research Organization) sponsored expeditions in the northeast, from the White Mountains of New Hampshire to the Pine Barrens of New Jersey.
When not in the wild, looking for evidence of cryptid activity, Michael has taken part in numerous paranormal investigations in the area’s infamous locations of intrigue. His most well-known statement, "All hoaxers will be hung," was made in Andrew Callaghan's documentary, Hunt for the Jersey Devil.
Michael has been the lead singer of the rock group Mikell’s Plot for the past twenty-seven years. He is also an accomplished Class A chess player. Michael has spoken at the NJ/PA UFO Study Group, which meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Hamilton Public Library and welcomes all interested parties.

EVENT ORGANIZER - Bill Visconti, aka “Professor B”

Bill Visconti, and his alter ego, intrepid explorer Professor B, is a leading voice in cryptozoology, paranormal science, and anomalous research. He serves as the Event Organizer for New Jersey's
Annual Cryptids and Paranormal Conference and is an integral member of Cryptids and Paranormal Productions, working closely with founder Michael O’Connor to bring large-scale paranormal events to life.
Beyond the paranormal, Bill brings more than 30 years of experience as an Air Traffic Controller and Manager, along with 16 years as an Adjunct Professor for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Atlantic Cape Community College. He credits these careers with sharpening the observational, analytical, and research skills that underpin his work as a Certified Cryptid and Paranormal Investigator.
An avid traveler and lifelong explorer, Bill has participated in cryptid expeditions and paranormal investigations around the world. He is also the owner of Wicked Cryptids, an upcoming cryptid-themed merchandise brand launching in 2026. Whether organizing events or
appearing as Professor B at conferences, festivals, podcasts, and media, Bill remains dedicated to sharing knowledge—and reminding everyone to Keep Your Eyes Open!

EVENT SUPPORT — I Heart Horror Team
Chris Cuneo and Greg Cuneo, known collectively as The Brothers Cuneo, are the Co-Founders
and Co-Presidents of I Heart Horror Day Co., a New Jersey–based nonprofit that transforms a
shared love of horror into meaningful community impact.
Since its inception, I Heart Horror has raised over $30,000 in support of the Deborah Heart &
Lung Center of New Jersey and other nonprofit partners, while building a growing community
of horror fans, filmmakers, authors, musicians, and advocates united by a shared purpose.
Central to the organization’s continued growth is Holly Mergogey, Vice President of I Heart
Horror. Holly plays a vital role, supporting operations through graphics, announcements,
correspondence, websites, and countless logistical details that ensure each event runs
seamlessly. Her work provides the polish, structure, and consistency that allows the
organization’s mission to shine.
Together, Chris, Greg, and Holly actively support New Jersey’s Annual Cryptids and Paranormal
Conference. The Brothers Cuneo assist with vendor outreach, promotion, and event-day
logistics, while Holly contributes creative and operational support. Their teamwork has been
instrumental in elevating the conference’s scale, professionalism, and community impact.
At its core, I Heart Horror Day Co. is driven by a simple but powerful belief: even in the darkest
corners of imagination, there is room for generosity, connection, and hope.
